CASE STUDY
Introduction
Biograd is a city on the beautiful coast of Adriatic Sea – a mediteranean town with a postal address of Croatia, European Union. 100,000 tourists from all around Europe and the rest of the world come each year during the summer season to enjoy and explore the city of Biograd, the nearby islands and the Adriatic sea.
Problem
The city of Biograd was looking for a modern way to connect with its potential and existing tourists and to make sure that their stay is something that they will. A website simply was not enough for today’s standards as it did not engage the consumer.
Solution
The proposed solution was to build a native mobile application for both iOS and Android that would offer a beautiful design, information, exploration and notifications to the interested tourists. After a thorough analysis and collaboration with the tourist office of Biograd a mock design was put together that would utilize the existing media assets and information in a way that was easy to update and change. The tourist office also needed an easy way to inform its tourists of new upcoming events in the city through mobile notifications. The application was built within a few months and released just in time for the season to begin.
